Why Hire Me?

A great question right?  Considering you don’t usually meet your inspector until your home inspection.  Well, let me tell you a little about myself both personally and professionally.

I started my home inspection business in 2008.  Previously I had worked for Verizon Wireless & CCI Wireless doing both sales and sales management for about 10 years.  However, I never really considered myself a salesman, more of a problem solver.  I had many successes in my previous career, but with a wife, child and two dogs the long retail hours I could do no more.  I needed a change.

Home inspections seemed to be a great fit for me.  Ever since I was a little kid I’ve been following my Dad around watching him fix just about anything.  When my friends and I started buying our own homes, we were at each others’ houses constantly repairing, replacing or remodeling.  Over the years I had accumulated a solid foundation of knowledge about homes and home repair.  Then I got serious about it.

I decided to smooth some of my rough edges and attend Advanced Residential Inspection course offered by Kaplan in Bloomington, MN.  I was formally trained in both classroom and in the field.  I now had the knowledge and confidence to succeed with my home inspection business.

I often get asked what sets me apart from the other inspectors.  Well to be honest, many of the other inspectors are older guys that may have more experience than I do.  I feel I bring a combination of both knowledge and willingness to inspect any areas possible that is unmatched.  As a younger, athletic inspector I’ve been able to access areas in both attic areas and crawl space and have revealed major structural defects.  In all cases, these defects were missed by other inspectors.

Being a home inspector is tough and sometimes dirty job.  You need to hire an inspector that is willing to inspect everywhere possible to ensure the integrity of you new home, as well as ensure the safety of you and your family.

I am always honored when people choose me to inspect their new home.
